rug pulls and miracles in the making

“I feel like a baby eagle who has been kicked out of the nest.”

My client said this to me yesterday, right after she received news about an unexpected, sudden change that's reeeally shaking things up in her life.

She’s not the only one feeling this way.

In the last few days, I’ve spoken with multiple clients and community members who are navigating a similar rug-pull moment — a swift change in which life as you know it gets shaken up and kinda knocks you on your rear end.

Rug pulls can look like sudden losses, cancellations of “done deals,” unexpected moves, and a general disruption of your routine or rhythm.

Depending on your perspective, these rug-pull moments can feel disconcerting, unjust, upsetting, and destabilizing, or they can be portals into greater fulfillment, peace, joy, and expansion.

All of the divine rug pull recipients this week had two things in common:

1. On a soul level, they all said yes to truth, liberation, and service to the whole.

They make daily vows, committing to their destinies and asking that the divine will be done. They know they’re here to make a lasting, positive impact through their expressions and creations.

2. They all recently set a clear intention to experience something magical, beautiful, and life-giving that is entirely new to them.

So, there is a divine current within their lives that is always moving them toward their highest evolution.

And they’ve actively given permission for life to rearrange itself on their behalf.

They said: Less of what drains me, more of what nourishes me. Less limitation, more expansion. Less shame, more ME.

And Life said: coming right up!

Usually, things need to be removed to make way for our gifts before they arrive.

But if we’re focused on what’s being cleared, rather than on what’s coming, we’re likely going to see a disaster rather than an indicator of incoming blessings.

It’s like deciding you’re going to renovate your kitchen. Old, expired crap has to come out of the cabinets, existing structures may be demolished, and you may need to reroute some wires or rip out some walls…

If you were to look around mid-renovation and say: omg, this is a disaster, my kitchen is ruined, what if I never have a place to cook again… you’d be missing the point. You initiated this process. And you’re going to have a much better kitchen on the other side of it.

But when our life renovations begin, the forces of change are usually a lot more unseen and mysterious than hiring a general contractor and interior decorator… so we can be more likely to spiral into panic in the face of uncertainty.

Your blessings will take up space—energetically, physically, relationally—and that space is being cleared for you to receive them.

The divine demolition that occurs right before a big breakthrough is also about catalyzing a shift in identity.

You must transform into the upgraded you who feels it’s natural and normal to receive these blessings.

Your gifts are being shipped to that you's address, not your current one.

And, honestly, sometimes we just wouldn’t become the more expanded versions of ourselves as quickly or completely as our soul's mission requires without some level of pressure to grow.

Like my client who feels like a baby eagle tossed from the nest, sometimes we won’t develop our innate capacity to fly until we are in circumstances that require us to figure it out mid-air.

I truly understand the excruciating magic of this process.

A few of my personal rug-pull moments that preceded big breakthroughs have included:

+ having to walk out on a job with zero savings right after I told God I wanted to work for God full-time (lol)

+ needing to unexpectedly move due to mold after I set the intention for greater expansion in my life

+ having a client renege on payments and ghost me after I set the intention to only collaborate with people who truly honor my work and are ready to transform

+ many personal and professional relationships coming to an end right before I met my beloved

+ and soooo many more!

At this point, when stuff starts falling apart, part of me is excited. Because I KNOW that it’s a sign that goodness is coming. I know that I’m in the midst of a change I have sincerely prayed for, or a change that God wants for me that I didn’t even know to pray for!

So, if you’re in the midst of an unforeseen-yet-actually-when-you-think-about-it-totally-summoned-into-your-reality-by-your-own-intentions breakdown…fear not.

Know that your breakthrough is coming if you are willing to see through the dust and rubble of the past and not get stuck in a story of doom and gloom.

Thank God for assisting you in clearing the space. And practice feeling the open-hearted THANK YOU that you will soon be saying when the blessings that are on their way to you arrive at the exact right moment.
